Will.I.Am Wants to 'Create FOMO' With Virtual Reality Projects

The Black Eye Peas’ Will.I.Am, Taboo, and Apl.de.ap stopped by the Variety Studio presented by AT&T to talk about their new virtual reality project, “Masters of the Sun,” which debuted at the Sundance Film Festival.

Will.I.Am spoke to the state of VR at large, and noted that the majority of projects in the space target gamers. The goal, he explained, is to introduce newcomers to the technology.

“Right now, you’re inventing to create that hit to where folks that don’t know about VR are screaming and hollering about VR and can’t wait to see it,” he said. “How do you create FOMO with VR? That is the exciting time for creatives.”
