HBO’s ‘Watchmen’ pilot has confirmed a handful of actors for its main roles. Regina King will star as the protagonist alongside Don Johnson, Tim Blake Nelson, Louis Gossett Jr., Adelaide Clemens, and Andrew Howard. King previously appeared on “The Leftovers,” the drama series co-created by Damon Lindelof and Tom Perrotta.

The specific details about the ensemble of characters remain a mystery. In a long letter to fans posted on Instagram, Lindelof shared his creative vision for the show. He says it won’t be a remake of the original comic book, but rather a fresh storyline set in present day with new characters.
