Discovery, Verizon Execs on Monetizing, Delivering OTT Programming

Variety co-editor-in-chief Andrew Wallenstein, Discovery Communications’ senior VP of product and technology Joe Ambeault, and Verizon Digital Media Services’ head of sales, strategy, and business development Chris Carey discussed building successful OTT networks last Friday at Variety’s annual Ent & Tech summit in New York.

“Video quality is no longer like an awesome bonus,” Ambeault said. “Viewers are gone the second they have a tiny little bit of rebuffering on the screen.”
