Matt Derella, Twitter’s global vice president of revenue & content partnerships, sat down with Variety’s Andrew Wallenstein for a candid conversation during the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas. Derella didn’t shy away from Twitter’s third quarter drop in revenue last year and expressed optimism at the upcoming partnerships with the NFL, NBA and the Academy Awards. He also touched on the social media company’s rules on world leaders’ speech on the platform and what it would take to violate the regulations.
