The Avengers and Guardians of the Galaxy could have some competition when the Eternals become the latest team in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

“Without us there would be no Avengers, no Guardians of the Galaxy. There would be no galaxy. So, you’re welcome, Chris Pratt’s character,” Kumail Nanjiani, one of the stars of “The Eternals” told Variety at D23 on Saturday.

Nanjiani was joined by several cast members who praised the diversity and representation in the upcoming movie, which includes the first-ever deaf superhero played by Lauren Ridloff.

“I’m so happy about this film representing the audience. They can see themselves in the story and in the representation in the cast,” Ridloff told Variety.
