In a battle of the coasts, the New England Patriots will face off against the Los Angeles Rams on Sunday in the hotly anticipated Super Bowl LIII. No doubt the massive event will bring out all types of celebrity football fans, but who will your famous favs be cheering for on game day?
“The Lego Movie 2” star Chris Pratt told Variety that while Tom Brady might be the GOAT (greatest of all time), “I live in L.A., I’m a Seahawks fan so I hope NFC West takes it home.” Taraji P. Henson agreed, saying she’s “always rooting for the underdog,” at the premiere for “What Men Want.” Other stars backing the Rams? Will Arnett, Tiffany Haddish, Max Greenfield, and Daniel Radcliffe, who had a special message for Brady.
Meanwhile, “Lego Movie 2” actors Charlie Day and Elizabeth Banks are both cheering for their hometown teams. “I hate to say it, but I was born in New England.” Day explained, “I gotta go for the GOAT.” Also pushing for an East Coast victory? “GLOW’s” Betty Gilpin.
Despite a few holdouts, most California residents were, unsurprisingly, pulling for L.A., including “Lego Movie 2” producers and co-writers Chris Miller and Phil Lord. “Down with the patriarchy,” exclaimed Lord.
