Dawn Ostroff, Spotify’s chief content officer, spoke about how the music streaming company is investing in the future of podcasts during a panel hosted by Variety at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas.

Moderated by Variety’s digital editor Todd Spangler, the panel included Ostroff, writer-director Paul Feig and digital content creator Lele Pons.

Feig, director of “Bridesmaids” and the “Ghostbusters” reboot, talked about crafting an audio-only story in his upcoming true-crime satire podcast “The Case of the Adirondack Rose.” Pons, a YouTuber who got her start on Vine, also discussed bringing a more candid side of herself to her new podcast and appealing to older and younger audiences through the platform.
