Growing up and working at Baby Gap, “Schitt’s Creek” star Dan Levy never thought he’d be on a billboard, much less one featuring two men kissing.
“The fact that we had a network that supported us enough to put up a three-story billboard of two men kissing speaks volumes for the network. I think it’s a lovely representation of our show. Hopefully it inspires other networks to do the same thing,” he told Variety’s Marc Malkin at the SAG Awards.
Ahead of the show’s final season, Pop TV and the CBC put up the billboards of Levy and Noah Reid’s characters, David Rose and Patrick Brewer, who are engaged to be married in the final episodes.
“Noah and I went and took a photo in front of it. It was a really emotional thing. I’ve never seen anything like it and I’m proud to have been a part of that. It’s one of the first times I’ve ever seen that on the side of a building,” Levy said.
“Schitt’s Creek” earned two SAG Award nominations, one for outstanding performance by an ensemble in a comedy series and for Catherine O’Hara as a female actor in a comedy series.
