Riz Ahmed and Elisabeth Moss discussed how they navigate fame during an interview for Variety‘s “Actors on Actors” series.

“I remember when I did ‘Nightcrawler,’ I just had such a sense of freedom going into that film,” Ahmed said. “I remember working opposite someone like Jake (Gyllenhaal). He was carrying a certain awareness that eyes are on him. People have seen the last movie he’s done, people will see the next movie he’s done because he occupies a certain position in the culture. I kind of in a weird way almost felt bad for him that he had to navigate that — there was this other kind of filter between him and the work.”

The interview will air in its entirety on Variety‘s “Actors on Actors” Season 6, presented by Shutterstock, which premieres June 13 on PBS SoCal.
