Lady Gaga on Broadway, Auditioning for 'Rent'

Lady Gaga wasn’t always pursuing a career in music. Her first love, she says, was theater — and she isn’t giving up on her Broadway dreams.

“I’ve always been a theater lover,” she said. “I would absolutely do Broadway.”

During Variety’s Actors on Actors, Gaga shared her love of theater with Lin-Manuel Miranda and opened up about her desire to write her own musicals.
