Sam Heughan and Krysten Ritter discussed embodying their characters on “Jessica Jones” and “Outlander,” respectively, during Variety‘s fourth season of “Actors on Actors.”
Ritter said entering her titular character’s dark world made her own gloomier.
“Doing the physical training and sort of bulking up really helped me find her weight — I mean the weight of the world,” she said. “The way I carried my body was different. The downside is none of my clothes fit. Nothing fits in my closest. I haven’t been able to go back. I used to wear girly dresses all the time and look pretty. Now I just can’t, I can’t. I can’t do it.”
