John Krasinski has seen “The Devil Wears Prada” 70 times.

In an interview with Variety while on a press tour for his smash directorial debut, “A Quiet Place,” Krasinski called the 2006 dramedy starring Anne Hathaway, Meryl Streep, and his wife, Emily Blunt, “kryptonite for channel surfing.”

“I’ve probably seen that movie 70 times because it’s on cable everyday like six times a day,” Krasinski said. “As you’re channel surfing, you just stop every time it’s on.”

And, yes, he added he has watched the movie a couple of times alongside his wife, who portrays Emily, famed fashion editor Miranda Priestly’s assistant. Though he hinted the couple does not make a habit of watching each other’s work together.

“I’ve watched it with her once or twice, but it’s not the most comfortable thing to make her watch herself in a movie,” Krasinski said. “But it’s just that good. It’s usually in bits and spurts. We’ll watch 15 minutes or wherever it is on the cable.”

The pair recently got a chance to watch each other’s work behind the camera for the first time while filming “A Quiet Place,” in which the real-life couple portray a married couple onscreen, silently fighting to protect themselves and their children from monsters that hunt by sound.
