Variety’s chief film critic Peter Debruge breaks down the chances of the horror movie sequel becoming a second box office success for the Stephen King franchise.

“It’s different from all the other horror movies that are out there. I think you’ve got a lot of really intelligent horror movies being made like what Jordan Peele has done with ‘Get Out’ and ‘US,'” Debruge said. “‘It’ really plays off your subconscious fears and it’s not as effective for me, but I think that audiences love it.”
