Felicity Jones Was Brought to Tears After Reading 'A Monster Calls' Script

Felicity Jones was overcome with emotion after reading the script for the fantasy drama “A Monster Calls.”

“When we first met we were both in tears by the end of the meeting due to the power of the story and it felt like, Lewis and Sigourney, and all the elements were in place to make something special,” Jones said, referring to her first encounter with director J.A. Bayona.

Bayona, Jones, costars Sigourney Weaver and Lewis MacDougall, and “A Monster Calls” author Patrick Ness stopped by the Variety Studio presented by airbnb to discuss their upcoming movie adaptation, which premiered at the Toronto Film Festival.
