Eddie Murphy and Antonio Banderas both play versions of real-life people in their movies this fall. Murphy is comedian Rudy Ray Moore in Netflix’s “Dolemite Is My Name,” and Banderas depicts a character based on his longtime collaborator and director Pedro Almodóvar in “Pain and Glory.” In their “Variety Studio: Actors on Actors” conversation, Murphy reveals that he’s coming back to host “Saturday Night Live” this Christmas and discusses his upcoming sequel to “Coming to America.” Banderas also opens up about how his heart attack in 2017 changed his priorities in life.
