Even the coronavirus pandemic couldn’t stop Comedy Central’s long-running “The Daily Show.” Trevor Noah’s late-night showcase, now called “The Daily Social Distancing Show,” has expanded to 45 minutes per night during production that takes place remotely, for the first time since the franchise launched in 1996.

The Emmy-nominated team behind the show – executive producer and showrunner Jennifer Flanz, supervising producer and writer David Kibuuka and writer Dan Amira — joined Variety senior editor Michael Schneider on Aug. 21 for an exclusive Q&A in the Variety Streaming Room presented by Comedy Central.
