Marvel stars Chris Evans and Scarlett Johansson are debuting their first major film roles since they saved the universe as Captain America and Black Widow in “Avengers: Endgame”; Evans with “Knives Out” and Johansson with “Marriage Story” and “Jojo Rabbit.” In their conversation on Variety Studio: Actors on Actors,” the two talked about “Endgame” becoming the highest-grossing movie of all time and Martin Scorsese saying Marvel films aren’t cinema. Known for playing Captain America, the ultimate good guy, Evans touched on his process for playing more despicable villains in his Broadway career and in “Knives Out.” Johansson also talked about relating her own divorce to the divorce story portrayed in “Marriage Story” with Adam Driver.
