Some of Broadway’s top producers came together for a discussion about what needs to happen to ensure a successful re-opening of theatres. This wide-ranging and candid conversation was held as part of Variety’s “Legit! The Road Back to Broadway” presented by City National Bank. The panel took place while the theater industry is in a crisis, with live events at a standstill and Broadway’s lights dimmed due to COVID-19.
The event highlighted the perspectives of several top producers including Alia Jones-Harvey (“Ain’t Too Proud” and “American Son”), Tom Kirdahy (“Hadestown”), Kevin McCollum (“Mrs. Doubtfire” and “Six”) and Carmen Pavlovic (“Moulin Rouge: The Musical”). The roundtable was moderated by City National Bank’s Erik Piecuch, a senior VP and team leader with the bank’s Entertainment division.
