“Lemon” co-writers, and husband and wife team, Janicza Bravo and Brett Gelman joined some of the film’s cast — Judy Greer, Shiri Appleby, Jon Daly and Nia Long — in the Variety Studio, presented by Orville Redenbacher’s, at the Sundance Film Festival. Bravo also directed the film.
During their visit, Gelman spoke up about telling diverse stories. “It is not a risk to help women and people of color and the LGBT community to tell their stories,” he said. “Because the longer the we oppress them, the work suffers. And the more that you get different prospectives and different stories involved in this business, involved in this art, the work will become better and better and connect to more people.”
