Beyoncé and Jay-Z could be preparing for an Oscar-season duel for best original song. Five multi-award-winning artists will perform at the Super Bowl, and finally, after multiple delays due to the pandemic, the James Bond film “No Time to Die” has opened in theaters and is expected to be a box-office hit.

Netflix’s “The Harder They Fall,” from debut filmmaker Jeymes Samuel, premiered at the BFI London Film Festival, bringing awards buzz for the movie and its actors, most notably Idris Elba and Oscar-winner Regina King. Rapper and music executive Jay-Z serves as one of the film’s producers and songwriters of the 16-song soundtrack, which will surely be in the Oscar race for original song. This could bring a scenario in which his wife Beyoncé, a writer and performer on the song “Be Alive” from Will Smith’s film “King Richard,” could compete against her husband for the Academy Award. This would be a first in history and a scenario that could catapult ratings for the show if both are nominated.

Pepsi, the NFL, and Roc Nation have announced the performers for the Pepsi Super Bowl LVI Halftime Show, including Mary J. Blige, Dr. Dre, Eminem, Kendrick Lamar, and Snoop Dogg. This is the first time these five musicians will perform together, which is set to take place at SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles on Sunday, Feb. 13, 2022.

After numerous COVID-19 delays, “No Time To Die” is finally hitting theaters, and after a successful international debut, topping $100 million without China, the latest James Bond flick is expected to reign at the box office. Daniel Craig’s final outing as the iconic spy is getting rave reviews, topped off with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame for the English actor this week.
