The honorees for this year’s 10 Producers to Watch list gathered for a breakfast celebration on Monday morning on Cannes’ Nespresso Beach.
Emam, the producer behind “Yomeddine,” was one of this year’s honorees and celebrated her film’s world premiere at the Cannes Film Festival.
The veteran Canadian film executive was honored with a lifetime achievement award at the event.

The German duo, who produced critically acclaimed recent works like Jennifer Fox’s Sundance movie “The Tale” and Isabel Coixet’s “The Bookshop,” pose at the Variety event.
Christopher Lemole, Tim Zajaros and Steven Gaydos
After making waves the last year as producers of “Mudbound” and “Arctic,” which is premiering at Cannes this week, the two accept their awards from Variety VP and executive editor Steven Gaydos.

Loewy accepts his lifetime achievement award from Variety’s VP and executive editor Steven Gaydos. In his speech he spoke about the future of film, saying, “I personally don’t know where this is going. I don’t know whether or not people will go and see films in the cinemas in five years, or 10 years.”
