In her first Grammys performance since 2012, Adele performed her single “All I Ask” but was hampered by technical difficulties after the sound briefly cutout. “The piano mics fell on to the piano strings, that’s what the guitar sound was. It made it sound out of tune,” the artist later explained in a tweet.

Miguel performed Michael Jackson’s “She’s Out of My Life.” The artist was up for three 2016 Grammys including the awards for best R&B song and best urban contemporary album.
Ed Sheeran accepted the award for song of the year for “Thinking Out Loud.” “Every time I lose they go, ‘Maybe next year!’ ” Sheeran said of his parents, who accompanied him to the event for his fourth year being nominated.
Kendrick Lamar won the Grammy for best rap album for “To Pimp A Butterfly.”
John Legend, Demi Lovato, Lionel Richie, Meghan Trainor, Tyrese, and Luke Bryan perform a tribute to MusiCares Person of the Year honoree Lionel Richie. The distinguished group covered a string of classics including “Easy,” “Hello,” “Penny Lover” and “All Night Long.”
