In this shot, Gustin’s double, Trevor Habberstad, hangs out during a fight sequence. Gustin has a different stunt double for “The Flash,” Cody Laudan, since the show films in Vancouver.
Another difference between the Vancouver and Los Angeles productions? The weather — always a concern for a character who’s wearing head-to-toe leather.
“It was less intense than I thought it would be, to be honest,” Gustin says of the LA heat. “First day it was in the desert and there were heat warnings all over the call sheet and I was like, ‘I’m gonna die.’ But it was cool actually, it was in the lower 80s — we were expecting like 100 degrees, so it was better than I thought it would be.”
He didn’t get away completely unscathed, though: “I did get sunburn and windburn for sure, and the shape of my mask was tattooed on my face in red where I’m not wearing it, so it was funny.”
