Katy Perry and Sam Smith join UMG chairman & CEO Lucian Grainge at the Universal Music Group 2015 Grammy After-Party presented by American Airlines and Citi on February 8. Perry arrived with celeb stylist Johnny Wujek (not on-again beau John Mayer), and stayed for about an hour, chatting inside with newly anointed Grammy winner Beck. Another big winner, Sam Smith, was barraged by well-wishers, and endearingly exclaimed to a friend, “I can’t believe it. I was just like, what the f–k?!” Smith stopped to give Paris Hilton a hug, before heading out of the Theatre at Ace Hotel and over to his private after-party (presented by Hanger 1 Vodka and Dobel Tequila at a Bel Air estate, where Perry, Taylor Swift, Ed Sheeran, Hozier and more hung).

After attending the Grammy Awards together, sociable recording artist Nick Jonas (who’s been hitting up multiple Grammy events each night) and girlfriend Olivia Culpo attend the UMG after-party at the Theatre at Ace Hotel. Another male-female duo raising eyebrows was Ryan Adams, recently divorced from Mandy Moore, who arrived at the party with Jenny Lewis.

Beck (whose win at the Grammys over Beyonce enraged Kanye) celebrated his victory alongside friends at the UMG After-Party. His camp was overhead discussing what a shock the award was, which they thought The Black Keys were going to score, and at one point, a dozen of his supporters raised and clinked their drink glasses in a toast. Beck also had an intimate heart-to-heart with another victor, A Great Big World (who won for his duet with Christina Aguilera), the two clasping hands in a high five and extolling Sam Smith (“What a first record!” “He can f–king sing his ass off!”). Beck stayed at the party late and enjoyed the moment, chatting and ordering much-deserved champagne to his table.
Lucian Grainge and Rihanna

Though she was surrounded by a huge crowd many people deep, Rihanna sat in the middle of the theater at the UMG after-party and caught up with chairman Lucian Grainge — seemingly impervious to the dozens of fans holding up phones and snapping pics. After a quick but jovial stop, she made her way out around 11 p.m.
Bastille and Lucian Grainge

Musicians Kyle Simmons, Will Farquarson, Chris Wood and Dan Smith of Bastille hang with Lucian Grainge at Universal Music Group’s 2015 Grammy After-Party presented by American Airlines and Citi on February 8. Bastille stayed stationed around their table on the elevated level inside the theater. “I feel out of my depth,” Smith told Variety, about his Grammy experience. Why? “We’re just a little band from England!” The band is sticking around L.A. recording until Feb. 11.

Mary Lambert, who last year attended the UMG party with girlfriend Michelle Chamuel from “The Voice,” this year took to the dance floor with a female friend and had a ball letting loose. Other guests who partied alongside her were Grammy winners The Band Perry and Rosanne Cash, plus Aloe Blacc, Juliette Lewis, Russell Simmons, Mark Salling, Afrojack, Shawn White and more.
