Founders/Partners, Strategic Group – Since 1997, when Jason Strauss and partner Noah Tepperberg founded Strategic Group in New York, the duo’s wildly successful international nightclubs have redefined the concept of nightlife and altered the tourist landscape in Las Vegas.
The 60,000-sq.-ft. Tao at the Venetian features an interconnected restaurant, lounge and, significantly, a beach club that was the city’s first designated pool party venue.
“Now I don’t think you can come to Vegas without seeing one of these giant pool parties,” Strauss says. The concept established the viability of the “dayclub,” which the partners expanded to the Marquee Nightclub & Dayclub at the Cosmopolitan hotel. They also operate Lavo Restaurant & Nightclub at the Palazzo Resort Hotel Casino.
Marquee became a proving ground for EDM, which has exploded to Ibiza-scaled proportions in Sin City.
“Marquee was truly the first club designed, positioned and committed to EDM,” Strauss claims. “After the success of Marquee, new venues and existing venues had to adjust their programming to jump on the trend. Now EDM music is a dominant part of the nightlife experience here.”
