Bandai Namco

President / CEO, Bandai Namco Entertainment

With respected franchise IP like “Dark Souls,” “Gundam” and “Ace Combat,” Bandai Namco Entertainment has a steady output of games every year that pulls in billions of dollars. Becoming president and CEO in 2018, Miyakawa has ensured strong revenues across console, PC and mobile, with App Annie ranking Bandai Namco among its biggest mobile publishers for 2020. In addition to adding oversight of the “PAC-MAN” brand to his duties in 2020, Miyakawa is pushing the publisher in a more Hollywood-friendly direction, with a “Fast & Furious” game out earlier in 2020 as well as a new entry in its “The Dark Pictures Anthology” horror series in October that starred Will Poulter from “Midsommar.” Plus, the company will publish “Elden Ring,” a fantasy RPG from “Game of Thrones” novelist George R.R. Martin, likely to release in 2021.
