Godfrey, the powerhouse producer behind YA fantasy film “Twilight,” took over as president of Paramount’s motion picture group in January 2018, replacing Marc Evans as he moved into production. Godfrey has a longstanding relationship with Jim Gianopulos, who’d been recently appointed studio chairman. When Gianopulos was running Fox’s film division, Godfrey produced hits including “The Maze Runner,” “The Fault in Our Stars” and “The Longest Ride.” He’s known to have a keen sense of what appeals to teens, a key demographic for a business needing to draw in audiences. Godfrey is a partner in the production company Temple Hill Entertainment. Other credits include “I, Robot,” “Daddy Day Care” and the Audience network series “Mr. Mercedes.”
