Since setting up his eponymous label 11 years ago, the longtime Universal Music exec has assembled a who’s who of Latin talent, with some artists finding media opportunities beyond the stage and recording studio. Maluma mounted one of the first post-COVID arena tours, selling out dates in both the U.S. and Europe. He launched his acting debut as well, appearing with Jennifer Lopez in “Marry Me.” Likewise for client Carlos Vives, who toured the U.S. and Europe and can be heard in the Disney film “Encanto” and seen in the Netflix series “Pálpito,” while members of boy band CNCO started their acting careers with Disney+ Latin America series “4 Ever.” As part of the duo’s La Última Misión Tour, reggae­ton pioneers Wisin & Yandel sold out a record-setting 14 dates at the Coliseo de Puerto Rico.

Music Industry Moves: Bishop Briggs Signs With Arista Records

Bishop Briggs has signed with Arista Records, Clio Massey, the label's VP of A&R, and David Massey, the company's chief executive, revealed on Instagram. The Scottish artist (pictured) was previously on Island, which released two studio albums by the singer and songwriter: 2018's "Church of Scars" and "Champion" in 2019. Arista was relaunched in July 2018, alongside Work of Art, a combined publishing-management operation, for which Clio serves as GM. Other acts on the Arista roster include Maneskin, Tai Verdes...
