Tchen

President / CEO

After serving the Obamas in D.C., Tchen has led her law firm’s workplace cultural compliance practice, counseling companies on harassment, diversity and gender equality. But her biggest impact might be through Time’s Up, which she co-founded in 2017 to provide legal and PR assistance to those experiencing workplace sexual harassment or related retaliation. Now October 2019 has brought news she’s taking the reins, replacing Lisa Borders as president and CEO after she stepped down upon news her son was accused of sexual assault. Tchen also chairs the Recording Academy’s task force on inclusion and diversity in the institution and the music industry. In 2019, her firm launched HABIT (Harassment, Acceptance, Bias and Inclusion Training) to help companies with anti-sexual harassment, bystander intervention and implicit bias training.
