Tchen left her law firm in November 2019 to take a full-time role at Time’s Up, the organization she cofounded in 2017 to provide legal and PR assistance to those experiencing workplace sexual harassment or related retaliation. Under her leadership in the short time since, Time’s Up has created a how-to guide for employers dealing with equity and inclusion issues during the COVID-19 crisis, launched a digital forum for presidential candidates, issued a national survey on pay equity, released a set of entertainment industry safety resources and launched an awareness campaign encouraging people from diverse backgrounds to pursue behind-the-camera jobs in show business. A former Obama administration official, she also continues to chair the Recording Academy’s task force on inclusion and diversity.
