Hall
A former NBC News reporter, Hall has found new success with a daytime talk show and became the first journalist to get her program into a fourth season — no mean feat in a time slot with viewership that has migrated away over the decades — since the era of Geraldo Rivera and Oprah Winfrey. She’s come a long way from her start as a reporter at a local news station in a small market in her native Texas. Hall has said she fondly recalls the days when daytime hosts such as Mike Douglas or Dinah Shore were able to capture the nation in their conversations with guests. ABC News’ oversight of her eponymous syndicated program gives the talkfest more access to the most recent videos associated with stories in the news cycle.
