Suzanne
Scott

CEO

When Scott was tapped to run Fox News in 2018, she became only its second CEO, following the late Roger Ailes, who resigned in the wake of numerous sexual harassment allegations after spending the previous two-plus decades establishing the cabler as a consistent ratings winner. She performed well enough to earn a multiyear contract extension in February 2021, but it hasn’t been all good news for the 25-year Fox veteran. The network is facing a $2.7 billion defamation lawsuit from Smartmatic, alleging it was part of a “disinformation campaign” implicating the voting technology company in a scheme to steal the 2016 election from President Donald Trump. But while Fox News’ viewership has dropped since Trump, she has led the conservative outlet to dominant ratings wins over rivals CNN and MSNBC in 2021.
