Rovner and NBC said goodbye to the modern-day benchmark for broadcast drama, “This Is Us,” in May. While plotting the rollout that saw ratings build in the run-up to the finale, she was working on the next era of NBC with the debut of the “Law & Order” revival. After giving Dick Wolf two full nights on the broadcast network, Rovner okayed a three-way crossover season-premiere event in the fall for “Law & Order,” “SVU” and “Organized Crime.” At the in-person upfronts in May, Rovner was on hand to tout such titles as NBC’s “The Thing About Pam,” “La Brea” and “Password,” Peacock’s “Bel-Air” and “Real Housewives: Ultimate Girls Trip” and Syfy’s “Chucky” and “Resident Alien,” as well as “The Kelly Clarkson Show.”
