Take-Two Interactive

Chairman / CEO

Zelnick has held leadership roles at BMG Entertainment, 20th Century Fox and Crystal Dynamics, and was interim chairman of CBS before the Viacom merger. But gaming has been his main focus through holding company Take-Two, where he’s been chairman since 2007 and CEO since 2011. Owner of major publishers Rockstar Games and 2K, Take-Two grew 35% in revenue in 2018, seeing excellent sales from “Red Dead Redemption 2” — the year’s top-selling non-annual release — and “Grand Theft Auto V,” which has raked in steady cash since 2013 due to its popular online mode. It’s been a busy 2019 as well, with a new game in the “Borderlands” franchise, a bestselling NBA release and debut games from Private Division, Take-Two’s new publishing label.
