Yeun
“The Walking Dead” fans were already familiar with Yeun’s intense, humanistic charisma due to his run as a series regular before his character’s brutal demise. But in 2020, Yeun followed a buzzy turn in 2018 Korean-language film “Burning” for A24’s “Minari,” a personal tale about a struggling family of Korean immigrants in the U.S., which made Yeun the first Asian-American actor to be nominated for best actor at the 2021 Oscars. Also this year, Yeun voice-acted in “TWD” creator Robert Kirkman’s “Invincible” series for Amazon alongside VA roles in films “Space Jam: A New Legacy” and “Trollhunters: Rise of the Titans,” and co-starred in another A24 drama, “The Humans,” in November, before he takes on a role for Jordan Peele’s next film, “Nope,” in 2022.
