Kinberg is one of entertainment’s most successful writer-producers, making his name in Fox’s X-Men films, starting by penning “The Last Stand” and producing (and sometimes writing) subsequent outings, along with successful spinoffs “Deadpool,” “Logan” and 2019’s “The New Mutants.” He has “Star Wars” on his plate as well, as being a creator of the “Rebels” series and a producer / co-writer of an in-development Boba Fett feature with “Logan” helmer James Mangold. In addition to producing standalones like “The Martian,” which scored seven Oscar nods, and ABC’s “Designated Survivor,” he’ll add directing to his portfolio with 2019’s “X-Men: Dark Phoenix,” which he is also writing and producing, and the starry distaff spy film “355” with Jessica Chastain and Lupita Nyong’o.
