Rogen

Onscreen, Rogen is forever cast as an amiable goofball, but in the real world he’s a driven creative who’s worked alongside childhood friend Evan Goldberg (they met in bar mitzvah class) for their production outlet Point Grey Pictures, where they’ve produced and often scripted a string of hit R-rated comedies including “Superbad” (2007), The Disaster Artist” (2017) and “Good Boys” (2019), along with TV series such as “Future Man,” “Preacher” and Prime Video hit “The Boys.” In their latest project, the HBO Max feature “An American Pickle,” he plays both an Eastern European Jewish immigrant who emerges in modern-day Brooklyn after being preserved in brine for 100 years and his own great-great-grandson. Next, they’ll be penning director Luca Guadagnino’s untitled Searchlight biopic about Scotty Bowers, a WW2 vet who became a legendary bisexual Hollywood hustler.
