Meyers continues to play with the talk show format, bringing a more relaxed feel to his show in COVID times. “Late Night” won the Critics’ Choice Award for best talk show in 2021 (an honor it also received in 2020) while Meyers and his staff have landed five consecutive Writers Guild of America nominations for comedy/variety talk series. “Late Night with Seth Meyers: Corrections” was Emmy-nominated for outstanding short form comedy, drama or variety series, and Amber Ruffin, whose big break came on “Late Night,” has gone on to success with her own series, “The Amber Ruffin Show.” Meyers and “Late Night” producer Mike Shoemaker run the prodco Sethmaker Shoemeyers, and in addition to “Amber Ruffin” are behind comedy “A.P.
