Chief Theatrical Executive

The pandemic shuttered shows on Broadway and around the globe for more than a year, but that didn’t stop Flahaven and his 85 employees at Concord Theatricals from continuing to work remotely, licensing over 40,000 productions for 2021-22. The company, which combines theatrical licensing, music and script publishing, recording and producing, earned a total of 40 Tony noms for its productions in 2021 — 15 for “Jagged Little Pill,” 12 for “Slave Play,” 7 for “A Soldier’s Play” and 6 for “The Sound Inside.” When Broadway reopened, Concord returned with five shows, including “Pass Over,” “Hadestown,” “Six” and “Company.” A Grammy and Tony winner in his own right, Flahaven is credited as a producer on more than 30 albums, including the original Broadway cast recording of “Hamilton.”
