Chairman / CEO

The quintessential modern music mogul, Combs was a college-age A&R whiz, created one of the 1990s’ most important hip-hop labels with Bad Boy Records and then expanded his reach into television (winning an Emmy for producing “A Raisin in the Sun”), film (acting in “Get Him to the Greek”), fashion (Sean John brand) and spirits (Cîroc). The producer behind the Notorious B.I.G., Mary J. Blige and Mase also maintained a recording career of his own despite his ever-changing monikers (Puff Daddy, P. Diddy, Diddy). And the successes keep on coming: His clothing label last year posted $500 million in annual revenue; his music-oriented network, Revolt TV, boasts a 40 million reach; and Cîroc, his partnership with spirits giant Diageo, moved 2.6 million cases in 2017.
