Founder / Co-CEO, HYBE America

The man who stunned the industry by purchasing the Big Machine label in 2019 and then flipped masters from the first six Taylor Swift albums to Shamrock Capital the following year pulled another surprise from his sleeve. In April, he sprang a $1 billion deal that merged his Ithaca Holdings with HYBE, the home of K-pop kings BTS. The group went on to set YouTube and Spotify records with its single “Butter,” but Braun’s management clients were busy, too. Ariana Grande became the first act to see three songs debut at No. 1 on Billboard’s Hot 100 in the same year, Justin Bieber became the youngest artist to earn eight No. 1 albums, and Demi Lovato got a pilot deal with NBC for a comedy series called “Hungry.”
