A partner in Stroock’s corporate entertainment department, Schuyler Moore represents interests in motion picture and television projects from domestic and overseas organizations.

He is working with Wang Jianlin, China’s richest man and founder of Dalian Wanda Group, on a multibillion-dollar investment fund to bring capital to the six major Hollywood studios. Moore’s clients also include China Film Group, the largest Chinese theatrical distribution company; Hercules, a Greek investment firm; Hunan Group in its multi-year financing deal with Lionsgate; and investors Toho-Towa, Kadokawa and Lotte in their $250 million financing deal with Hemisphere for several big studio films.

Moore’s clients also include Reliance Entertainment in its $850 million funding deal with DreamWorks, Hyde Park Entertainment, Virgo Capital, Tele-Muenchen, and producer-director Oliver Stone.

Recognized regularly on the Power Lawyer list of the top 100 entertainment lawyers in the country, Moore is one of the top 100 lawyers in California, according to the Daily Journal; and he has been named one of the National Law Journal’s Most Influential Lawyers. Variety has listed him as one of the top 25 entertainment lawyers.

He contributes regularly to Forbes’ blog on entertainment financing, and he is the author of three books: “The Biz: The Basic Business, Legal, and Financial Aspects of the Film Industry” (Silman James Press, 4th ed.), “Taxation of the Entertainment Industry”(CCH, updated annually), and “What They Don’t Teach You in Law School” (William S. Hein & Co.). Moore earned both his bachelor’s and his law degree at the University of California – Los Angeles.
