President, Motion Picture Group

Overseeing Marvel properties at Sony, Panitch garnered success with “Venom” (2018), “Spider-Man: Homecoming” (2017) and “Spider-Man: Far From Home” (2019), the company’s highest-grossing film of all time. He’s expanding Sony’s Marvel Universe with next summer’s “Morbius,” starring Jared Leto as the titular vampire. The son of an entertainment business manager, Panitch became youngest EVP in 20th Century Fox history in 2005 and founded Fox International three years later. Since 2016, he has overseen all development and production at Columbia — including “Once Upon a Time … in Hollywood” and the “Jumanji” franchise — as well as Sony’s international production group.
