The music world got a new power duo in late 2020 when UTA lured Kirby Yoh from WME to join David Zedeck’s oversight of global music, with WME colleague Scott Clayton following her in 2021. Her ample roster includes such acts as St. Vincent, Rosalía, Björk, Grimes, LCD Soundsystem, Spoon, James Blake and Massive Attack. In March, she and Zedeck broadened the firm’s global reach through the acquisition of U.K.-based Echo Location Talent Agency, which guides international representation for the likes of, Diplo, Major Lazer, Marshmello, Alesso, Davido and Wizkid. UTA’s music crossover team found on-camera roles for artists including Post Malone, Offset and Bad Bunny. The New York-based Kirby Yoh also helped guide the June opening of UTA’s new Nashville offices, located at the former site of the Carnegie Library.
