Chairman / Partner

Kirkman couldn’t prevent the pandemic delaying the end of season 10 of AMC’s “The Walking Dead” (now extended to 2021, with season 11 wrapping the show by 2022), but he was able to help bookstore employees by selling an $18 package containing the entire run of his comic-book source material, raising over $231K for the Bookstore Industry Charitable Foundation. In addition to exec producing “TWD” and spinoff series “Fear” (now on season 6), Kirkman is working on an animated Amazon series adaptation of his comic “Invincible” and developing two features at Universal— an untitled “TWD” spinoff following Rick Grimes (Andrew Lincoln) and an adaptation of his sci-fi thriller comic-book series “Oblivion Song.” In July 2020, his years-long lawsuit against AMC, filed alongside several “TWD” producers over potential lowballing of the property’s licensing fee, ended in AMC’s favor.
