Stringer
Chairman
As labels strive to beckon artists, Stringer remains dedicated to talent, launching Real Time Royalties and Cash Out services in 2020 to expedite access to monies earned. This year, Sony not only stepped up royalties and joint-venture deals but eliminated long-used insensitive recording terms “master” and “slave” from its contracts. The company continues to lead U.S. market share in Latin music, and Stringer has merchandise deals with the likes of The Beatles, Led Zeppelin and Pink, as well as podcasts with Adam McKay, Marc Smerling and others. Plus, the Black Lives Matter movement prompted Stringer to launch a $100 million fund supporting social justice and anti-racist causes around the globe.
