A fixture at CAA for a quarter of a century, Gertner handles a stellar list of writers, directors and producers that includes Oscar winners Ron Howard and Barry Jenkins. In recent months, she has closed deals for “Black-ish” creator Kenya Barris to make his directorial debut with an untitled Netflix movie he co-wrote with Jonah Hill; Tony Gilroy to be showrunner and executive producer of an untitled Disney+ spinoff series of “Rogue One: A Star Wars Story”; and a straight-to-series order from Peacock for a live-action TV adaptation of client Seth MacFarlane’s “Ted” films. She also reps prolific writer-producer Simon Kinberg, who helmed the upcoming female-fronted action movie “The 355” and wrote and executive produced the Apple TV+ sci-fi series “Invasion.”
