Ahuja
Chairman, Global TV Studios & Corporate Development
Ahuja had a bumpy first year on the job at Sony Pictures with the flap over the short-lived decision to name producer Mike Richards as the one to take the “Jeopardy” reins from the legendary Alex Trebek. Fortunately, the chatter subsided after a quick course-correction to Ken Jennings and Mayim Bialik that Ahuja steered with SPE CEO Tony Vinciquerra. He also made management changes at the TV studio with the midyear exit of Jeff Frost as president of Sony Pictures TV, and Katherine Pope, a high-ranking alum of NBC, Chernin Group and Charter Communications, was tapped for president of Sony Pictures Television Studios. Ahuja is leading the complicated transaction behind the planned merger of Sony Pictures Networks India and Zee Entertainment Enterprises that was announced in December 2021.
