Journalist / TV Host
Maddow signed a new pact in August 2021 with NBCUniversal that will put her in a larger creative role, helping to spur new projects that could conceivably range from podcasts to documentaries. That’s kicked off some speculation about the fate of her long running MSNBC program, “The Rachel Maddow Show,” which has been on since 2008 and features her analytical, diligent reporting. Maddow remains the cabler’s shining star, with impressive top-rated numbers that regularly beat competitor CNN’s entire primetime lineup. At MSNBC, Maddow has also found success in other ventures such as “Bag Man,” a seven-episode podcast series centered on former U.S. VP Spiro Agnew and 2018 documentary special “Betrayal,” which covered the 1968 presidential election.
