Pierre-Antoine Capton

3rd Eye Productions

Founder / President

Capton’s 15-year-old TV prodco Groupe Troisième Oeil (3rd Eye) is France’s leading independent producer, but in 2016 he partnered with French media veterans Xavier Niel and Matthieu Pigasse to launch independent-content platform Mediawan. Since then, he spearheaded key small-screen acquisitions including Aton Soumache and Dimitri Rassam’s ON Kids & Family (“The Little Prince”); EuropaCorp’s French TV business (“No Limit”); AB Group, a French production, channel and distribution player; and Italian banner Palomar (“The Name of the Rose,” with John Turturro). He recently signed with French producer Noor Sadar and Belgian banner Entre Chien et Loups to launch Black Swan Tales, dedicated to low-budget, high-concept genre films in the mold of Blumhouse. Mediawan is the only listed French media company that saw its stock rise in 2018.
