The fellow who booked his first show with his brother while still in high school in Pomona, California, now presides over the biggest music festival in the world, Coachella. After COVID knocked down both the 2020 and 2021 editions, bringing the event back was no small feat, with headliner Kanye West canceling late and the Weeknd subsequently paired with already booked Swedish House Mafia. A reported 750,000 attendees showed up over the festival’s two April weekends, with its country cousin Stagecoach — featuring Carrie Underwood, Luke Combs and Maren Morris, among many others — occupying that same space a weekend later.
